At Soundstripe, we are deeply honored to keep creatives creating by providing fanatically curated, high-quality stock music, video, and SFX. We have recently received some valuable feedback from you, our customers, on improving our sound effects. We are thankful for your support in helping us make your experience with Soundstripe better.
Previously, you would filter your SFX category search by an enormous list of categories filled with confusing, overlapping, and redundant subcategories. For example, if you were to try and narrow your search for an "Insect," you would have to select the "Animal" category. Then, you would hunt through a long list of conflicting subcategories. The conversation with yourself might go something like this:
"Wait? There is an option for 'insect,' 'hornet,' and 'fly.' Which one do I select? Why can't they have an 'insect' option where those other subcategories live?"
😱
As a video creator, having the right sound effect in your arsenal can make an incredible difference in your film or video project. However, when it takes too long to find what you are looking for, it keeps you from doing what you are best at - creating.
That's why we are thrilled to announce we have spent the past few months refining our 50,000+ SFX into 25 new categories and 164 subcategories.
So now, when you filter your search with "Animal," you get 9 more succinct, relevant, and intentional subcategories to help find that perfect sound effect significantly faster.
We went through EVERY keyword and grouped each sound effect into relevant themes.
Below are the new SFX categories to help you become familiar:
In doing all of this, we hope you're only a few clicks away from bringing your film or video to life with easy-to-find studio-grade sound effects. So, head on over to our SFX page and take these new categories for a spin!
