The Weekly #KeepCreatingChallenge

Soundstripe Team

Apr 28, 2020

Each week on Tuesday we will be posting a new #KeepCreatingChallenge. This is meant to keep all of us creating in unique, outside-the-box ways.

While creating by itself is important, winning prizes is also fun, which is why we’ll be selecting weekly winners. Submit your final piece by Friday night, and check back each week for a new prompt, and a new prize!

To be entered to win, share your finished piece on Instagram, Facebook, or Twitter. Be sure to tag Soundstripe and use #KeepCreatingChallenge. (And please make sure your accounts are public so we can see your masterpiece and choose our winner!)

New prompts will be posted on Tuesday morning. You will have until MIDNIGHT CST on Friday to submit your entry! We’ll pick our first #KeepCreatingChallenge winner the following week.

We hope you’ll join us on this creative journey. We need to create – now more than ever.

If you'd like to receive the weekly prompts by email, enter your email in the form below!

Week #6

KCC-06.02

After seeing those videos, we declare Video Game Night is the new wild Friday Night!

We have watched so many clips of Fallon and Ellen making people laugh by subjecting celebrities to their hilarious and completely made up games. We want to see you make your own game show. This can be an original idea, or you can use inspiration from one of these talk show games, like the Price is Right, or something a little more like an obstacle course. It’s up to you!

Week #5

KCC-5.26-insta
TEAMWORK MAKES THE DREAM WORK! Your Quaran-teams are some truly amazing people.

What about those that you haven’t been lucky enough to be stuck with? Maybe your extended family is far away, or even down the street, and you haven’t been able to hang out like you normally can. To still spend time together we’ve all been hosting game nights over the internet, and throwing birthday parties and baby showers over video chat.

It’s unprecedented, but we are made to be in community and we’ve all been finding ways to make it work. Today’s challenge is to make a video showing you connecting with the people you love on the small screen, and use our song “Spring Embrace” by Cody Martin (which you can download for free below).

Download "Spring Embrace" for free here!

To download in Chrome: right click on “this link” above, and select “Save Link As” and it should give you the option to download and save wherever you’d like. Then open and run with iTunes or any other media player.

Week #4
KCC-5.190InstaIn early March, did you think you'd still be spending 24/7 with the same squad over two months later? Roommates, spouses, pets, kids, new boyfriends (we'd love to hear that story, BTW), or maybe it’s just been those you’ve been able to video chat with from far away  - regardless, we’ve all been in this together. We want you to make a video honoring your Quaran-Team (aka, those you’ve been in quarantine with!); the good times, the bad, the bonding, the isolation and insanity. Show them some love for what their presence has meant to you during this crazy time.

Week #3

KCC-5-12-20-1

Today’s challenge is pretty simple, and requires no extra work on your part. Basically all you need to do is press the “post” button. Show us any of your work that uses Soundstripe music. That’s it! We want to see something you’re incredibly proud of and want to show off to everyone. It can be something you used for a client or something you made just for fun. We’ll select 3 winners, will share them all and each winner will receive $100! Bonus points if you tell us the artist and song title in your video.

Week #2

KCC-5-5-20-1

We want to see what creative ideas you’ve been dreaming up during quarantine. We are certainly living in strange times, and we know it’s been leaving us with lots of time to think of new ideas, but maybe you’re feeling limited in how to execute them. We are encouraging you to lean into it, and create something anyway! Whether it’s a teaser trailer or simply you on video pitching us an idea, we want to see it. We were really moved by this inspiring short which was written and filmed by Evolve Studios (local to Nashville!) only days before the safer-at-home order was put in place.

Week #1

KCC-04.28.20

Welcome back to the #KeepCreatingChallenge version 2.0. Did you miss us? We certainly missed you, and seeing how each of you put your own unique spin on these challenges. We’re looking forward to seeing what you come up with for the next one!

While the bones of the challenge are the same (create something awesome based on the prompt) there are a few new twists! You now have several days to create. Each new prompt will be issued on Tuesday morning and you can submit your piece anytime before that Friday night (about 3 days). And because it’s more time, and the stakes are higher, we are upping the ante as far as prize money is concerned. Winning more money isn’t a problem, is it?

Week #1’s challenge is to Inspire the World to Keep Creating by making a :30 - :60 commercial using the song “Always” by Fantoms (which you can download using the link below). We loved Apple’s “Creativity Goes On” commercial, but there are so many ways you could take this. We look forward to see how you inspire the world to #KeepCreating.

Don’t forget to share your finished piece on Instagram, Facebook, or Twitter. Be sure to tag Soundstripe and use #KeepCreatingChallenge. (And please make sure your accounts are public so we can see your masterpiece and choose our winner!)

You have until Friday night to submit your piece! And don’t forget, the winner will get $250!

Good luck, creators, and #KeepCreating.
