Civil rights activist Cesar Chavez famously said, “If you really want to make a friend, go to someone’s house and eat with him ... the people who give you their food give you their heart.” And in our modern digital world, preparing food together is a powerful act of collaboration.
It’s not often that we can be inspired by a professional people feeder, but this week we sat down with Hannah Messinger, a food stylist, writer, and podcast host.
Hannah combines her creativity and culinary knowledge to help empower her audience. Her podcast, Pantry Raid, gives Hannah a unique opportunity to connect with listeners and help them cook better meals with whatever ingredients they have on hand.
In other words, it’s a food-help column for people who want something better than a delivered meal kit or a Pinterest recipe board.
We also talked about tips for rediscovering inspiration during hard times, and how finding the right mentors can make all the difference in our creative pursuits.
