Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the past year, you’ve probably noticed that artificial intelligence technology is here and quickly changing the world around us. With our new AI Song Editing feature you can utilize artificial intelligence to manipulate a Soundstripe track in seconds with the quality of a professional audio engineer. The AI Song Editing feature uses groundbreaking AI to analyze a song and instantly generate shorter, self-contained snippets, each of which sounds natural on its own or can be combined with other clips directly in-app to produce a custom edit that sounds as flawless as the original version.
With AI Song Editing, you can engage with a track at a new level of detail and control, cut or extend it to the perfect length, loop a specific section, or completely rearrange it in no time while maintaining the highest musical integrity.
So, how does this new AI feature work? Soundstripe’s AI Song Editing is powered by pioneering assistive technology that can detect the beat and bar mapping of a song and identify valid entry and exit points for each section (as opposed to, say, abruptly cutting off the song at the :15 or :30 mark).
With the click of a button, these self-contained sections appear as color-coded, timestamped segments that you can choose from or arrange into a composition perfectly tailored to your project’s length and narrative arc. Perhaps you’d like your edit to jump from the introduction straight to the chorus or loop that four-bar bed that you like: we provide you with the tools to make that happen.

There will be no additional charge to use the feature, and like any other alternate version of a song in our catalog, there is no cost on top of the subscription to use an AI Song Editing edit in a project. Plus, anyone with a free account or Creator plan can upgrade to immediately access AI Song Editing.
At this time, the feature is only available on the desktop experience.
AI Song Editing works as seamlessly with songs with lyrics as it does with instrumental tracks.
Both stems and AI Song Editing give you more options from the Soundstripe Catalog to choose from and more control over the audio in your content. But mixing stems requires time and focus, a certain level of skill, and separate post-production software like Adobe Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve.
With AI Song Editing, the magic happens instantaneously and right in your browser so you can audition a track in seconds. Happy with an edit? Download it and pull it right into your project timeline, bypassing additional workstreams entirely.
No matter how you arrange the sections of a song in the AI Song Editor, you retain the rights to use your edit just as you would the original recording, a stem, or any other asset included in your Soundstripe subscription. Our AI only breaks songs down into segments that remain recognizable, so rest assured that your custom edit will still be cleared by Content ID systems and copyright protection.
