You Asked For More Tags, We Listened

Survey results showed us you were missing a few tags from our recent updates to filters, and now they’re back.

Recently, we made some changes to our Tag and Filter options to help make finding music even easier. We were curious to know how you felt about those changes. So we opened up an in-app survey and over 4,000 of you gave us your feedback! 

We listened carefully to what you had to say and made a few updates to our original Filter By menu and tags changes that we want to share with you.

🎸 Genre

• Many of you felt like our Corporate filter was hiding, so we brought it back as a top-level Genre filter to make sure it's more clearly positioned and found
• Funk didn’t feel right under R&B, so now Funk is also holding its own as a top-level Genre category
• Epic has been removed from the Genre category and has a new home in the Characteristic menu

🎭 Characteristic 

• We’ve brought back several fan favorites! Re-introduced filter options include: Rebellious, Upbeat, Childlike, Cruising and Aggressive

🎹 Instrument

• As a customer eloquently put it, “Who ever says “Acoustic Piano?!”  Well… you’re right. Acoustic Piano now is just Piano
• With the changes to Piano, we thought Organ deserved its own top-level filter too

With these updates, we’ve restarted our short survey in the app, so be sure to look out for that. We want make sure we’ve built the right thing.
