As 2024 ends and the new year begins, it’s a good time for us to take a collective breath, look back at what made this past year special, and consider what we might most look forward to in 2025. In particular, for our team at Soundstripe, 2024 was a year of growth. We’re proud to share that our music library grew 80% this year.
We’re also happy to be able to tease the upcoming launch of Soundstripe Market. It’s our new digital music licensing storefront with songs from premier labels and publishers. While it offers both a commercial music library and a production music library, all tracks are pre-cleared for use in various creative projects. Currently in beta, Soundstripe Market already boasts nearly 5,000 diverse tracks from different record labels.
Let’s take a look at these achievements and how they benefit creators looking to bring projects of all sizes to life using high-quality audio assets in 2025.
As you can see in the infographic above, 2024 was a year defined by exciting growth. Our core production music library—all the music exclusive to Soundstripe—grew over 25% last year and now tops 10,000 tracks spanning 60 different genres.
Looking at our most downloaded songs of 2024, it’s clear that our new additions resonated with creatives. Five of our top 10 songs of 2024 were released in the same year. This is an encouraging sign for 2025 as songs like “Free Flow” by Reveille were able to crack the top 10 despite releasing halfway through the year.
At the heart of this growth are the needs and requests of Soundstripe users, who continuously guide our catalog expansion. In 2024, adding more songs with vocals was one of our top priorities, thanks to consistent customer feedback.
“Break Through” by Gee Smiff and Neon Beach and “Watch It All Fall” by Scarlett Solo and INNXCENT are two original vocal songs Soundstripe commissioned this year. We were pumped to learn they were featured in a thrilling full-length film from Jeff Thomas Creative for HEAD Ski, which you can check out above.
Another Soundstripe song by rapper Gee Smiff was featured in a promo for the Xbox game Forza Horizon 5. It is a good example of how creatives can use our production music library’s strategic sync-friendly songs with multiple alts to expertly intertwine instrumental and full vocal versions to create compelling, high-quality content.
We’re also excited to share a sneak peek at Soundstripe Market, the pioneering digital music licensing storefront we debuted in beta last year. It already offers thousands of pre-cleared music tracks from leading record labels, publishers, and artists–and we’re just getting started.
Soundstripe Market is an ideal music licensing option for all kinds of creative projects, including video and podcasts, and across various distribution channels, from social media ads to YouTube to the big screen.
Basically, Soundstripe Market is designed to democratize and simplify the music licensing process and make high-quality, recognizable tracks accessible to all creatives. You can check out Soundstripe Market Beta here.
As we continue to step forward into 2025, we remain dedicated to growing, diversifying, and differentiating our music library. Yet, the goal is never growth for growth’s sake. We want to ensure that we’re committed to quality and focused on the needs of our users.
We’re particularly proud that our customers utilize about 99% of our core production music catalog every month. We never add filler just to juice our numbers – your time is way too valuable (and limited) to spend it searching through countless tracks that don’t meet your standards or fit your projects.
That is also one reason we launched AI Song Editing last year. We may have almost doubled the songs in our music library, but AI Song Editing unlocks nearly infinite possibilities by letting you cut, lengthen, or even completely rearrange a track. Between our thousands of new titles, song stems and alternate versions for every one, and AI Song Editing, we’re so excited to see what you create this year.
We take your feedback seriously and would love to hear about both your successes and frustrations. If you have feedback or suggestions to share, feel free to drop us a line here. (If you have questions, check out our help page here.)
In 2025, we’re committed to adding even more studio-quality and user-requested tracks to both our production music catalog and Soundstripe Market. So, stay tuned and prepare for 2025 to bring about more growth, quality, and sweet tunes.
